Dark Chocolate


It is a good news, isn't it? We all thought chocolate made us gain weight but chocolate in moderation helps you lose weight and has some health benefits. But not all types of chocolates can be called healthy. 
Only chocolates which has at least 70% of cocoa can be called healthy. So, when shopping for chocolates, go for dark chocolates, the darker the better.


How is dark chocolate healthy?

  • Cocoa contains a lot of antioxidants called flavonols. Flavonols prevents our body from gaining weight. 
  • Flavonols prevents our body from type-2 diabetes. 
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate contains 11 grams of fiber, 9% protein, 36% magnesium, 15% potassium, 5% calcium and 3% Vitamin B-12 making it a part of healthy food list.
  • Consumption of dark chocolate improves metabolism and controls your appetite giving you feeling of satiety and fullness.
  • It also acts as an anti-depressant and also prevents from High blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack.
  • Eating 1 or 2 squares of dark chocolate regularly gives you younger and healthier skin and also proven to prevent skin from sun tan.

Cautions

  • It is necessary to consume chocolate in moderation because of the high fat content. Consuming too much may make you put on weight!
  • Choose the right dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more).
