You burn calories while you sleep. Yes, you heard me right. An average, healthy human body burns approx. 60 calories per hour while sleeping.
When you are deprived of sleep, you tend to eat more and the shocking fact is, you choose to eat foods that are high in fat and carbohydrates. So, naturally, sleep deprivation leads to weight gain.
Also, make sure you don't sleep for more than 9 hours. Less sleep and oversleeping will affect your brain function and also causes headache and obesity.
